I moved to Pembrokeshire (Johnston) last year and initially got in touch for Moth Night in September, which turned out to be a dead loss because my arthritis flared and it was too much to get the trap out. I got taken by surprise this year - I was idly wondering when Moth Night would be, looked it up, eeeek, tonight! So, trap out, cats in (otherwise they'll try to catch and eat anything interesting) time for bed.

Hi DM

Welcome to Pembrokeshire and the moth forum - glad you found us!

Have to take Mrs mothman to Singleton this am so will post later but it's been a record night with over 60 different in St Ishmaels including at least 1 lifer and around 20 NFY. More later as I say!
Look forward to hearing what Johnston brings forth.

Mike

LOL lost in jargon already! Please could you explain a lifer and NFY? I must say, I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

It could be just my jargon mais je ne pense pas!

NFY is new for year and a "lifer" is a moth seen for the very 1st time.
I probably call some things a lifer because I can't remember.
